Many travelers heading to Albany, New York are getting there by way of the Rensselaer train station...which are just just a stones throw over the Hudson River from eachother.

Commuters are looking for a quicker route so, they have gone back to the days of Archimedes and remembering that "The shortest distance between two points is a straight line".   However, with the Hudson River smack dab in the middle, the only way to get from Rensselaer to Albany would be by boat...UNTIL NOW.  Engineers will be condructing studies related to building a potentially $30 million gondola over the Hudson.  While not only serving as a quicker route between Rensselaer and Albany, it may also serve as a tourist attraction!
